Thank you, again, Brenda, for helping me understand more about life and especially myself. You expressed several points that really hit home. And, home IS where the heart is. As a writer of millions and millions of words over many years, I have come to understand that I write, not to change people and the world, but to inspire, encourage and support others seeking their own direction in the short span of life we are all gifted with. Writing is an art just as painting, sculpting, composing and performing music, etc. are. And, art, while it may become a source of revenue in some form, is primarily, at its roots, an expression of the heart, mind and spirit of an individual. Thank you for sharing your heart, mind and spirit with me/us, your readers/fans.
Thank you, Ed. That means a lot to me. Like you, I can't not write. It is another extension of my artistic self, no doubt about that. They say do what you love even if you never make a penny doing it. I have done that all of my life, and have loved every moment of it. As long as someone wants to read what I have to say, I will write it. Thank you, Ed, for helping me understand self publishing etc with your wealth of knowledge from writing all of those words. We so look forward to seeing you again!
Awesome write! Shirli read this to me while we were bouncing along on the slab headed to an unexpected appointment in Mobile. I once heard it said that "Writers write. Period." It's a way for artists who can't paint with a brush to paint pictures. I've begun reading Tolstoy. He's been on my "want to" list for a long time now. I loaded his works onto my Kindle.
Thank you, David! Yes, writers write. I do more writing and reading than sleeping, but I am always up for a nap so it usually evens itself out. I like the analogy about artists. I am both kinds, I guess. It's always good to have a new reading obsession! I am sure you will enjoy the deep dive. Summer is a perfect time to dig into a big stack of books.
Great write right back atcha, Shirley-Lou! Thank you. I can picture that poster, and I am sure it helped knowing that the kitty was safely planted, and someday you would be, too. It's great to have a touchstone memory that brings us back around to mindful daily living. You are welcome! Thanks for reading them.

Love it. ❤️ Yes, that is exactly how it is. But I am so glad that I now have a homebase from which to roam.
Thanks, LaVonne. I am glad you do, too, and that we do as well. ❤
