I was so impressed with the size and quantity of the redwoods that were sanded smooth by the ocean and tossed onto the beach. It was as if there were giants playing "pick up sticks".

It's definitely worth the stop. Washington and Oregon are chock full of pinned places that we just couldn't get to, even with an entire summer of free time on our hands. We are really looking forward to seeing much more of those two, for sure.

Wonderful post! The smallest I’ve ever felt was in Athens staring up at The Temple of Olympian Zeus, The Parthenon, and The Acropolis. (Although man made, quite spectacular.) I’ve never heard of Ruby Beach, and my husband is from Washington! You’ve certainly peaked out interest!

That really is beautiful! If I had to pick a favorite spot it would be Lake Tahoe..it makes my heart beat a whole new song! I might have to put Ruby Beach on my bucket list!

I have never been to Lake Tahoe. On your recommendation, it is firmly on the "list", though. I hope you get to Ruby Beach someday. Yes, it is spectacular.
