We really did, Shawna. It was a great visit! Yep, Abe is cutest of the cute. He is a perfect mix of both Courtney and Clark. It has been fun to get to know him at this stage of his life.
I added two pictures that Clark sent but I forgot to include because of your hair comment so you could see the back. Thanks! I feel like Layla, quite floofy. Getting away from Quartzsite well water and low humidity has given me back my teenage Houston hair, or at least the silvery elder version of that. I actually have a bit of curl these days, although not like the banana curls Dan gets, just wavy. Humidity, my friend. You could wring the air out with your hands most days. We are also drenched and swampy while we walk dogs, with the added benefit of hungry mosquitoes finding the backs of knees and necks. They are both oppressive conditions, no doubt. Today it will be 96 in Memphis with heat warning and index as much as 112 degrees. Ick. I dearly wish you could float the pool with us. I considered it this morning, even before breakfast. ;-) Take care, friend.
I really enjoyed your descriptions of an amazing 5 year old and the creative projects you did together. Memphis sounds so interesting, even with the heat and humidity! Take care, all of you! We miss you!
It was a great day watching Abe experience his first boat ride.
It really was, sweets! It is a very nice memory to add to our life's album.
Sounds like a wonderful time with your girl and family. Little Abe is a cutie!! What have you done with your hair? I like it!
Envious of your pool! Lovely, although we have ours here, too, if you count swimming in one's own sweat 😏.
